Internal Corrosion Monitoring System

Products

The use of corrosion monitoring systems helps to detect early signs of corrosion before failure so that proper maintenance can be performed to prevent catastrophe. Weight-loss coupon and Electrical Resistance (ER) techniques are typically used for corrosion monitoring in oil/gas, refinery, chemical processing, etc.

The weight-Loss Coupon (WL) technique is the most accurate corrosion monitoring method among all the existing corrosion monitoring methods. However, the weight-loss coupon technique typically requires a long exposure time (at least 90 days) for the measurement. This means that continuous in-situ monitoring is not possible and the effects of corrosion dynamics cannot be isolated.

The advantages of ER technique are usable in any environment, continuous in-situ monitoring, and detectable in the change of corrosion rate. However, the ER technique cannot detect a localized corrosion. The ER technique can show us only uniform corrosion.

successfully developed and tested innovative corrosion monitoring system to detect real-time pitting corrosion (Patented Technology).

provides three corrosion monitoring systems as follows:
1. PDS (Pit Detection Corrosion Monitoring System)
2. MFS (Multi-functional Corrosion Monitoring System, PDS + AI ER (i-ER))
3. AI ER (i-ER) (Electrical Resistance Monitoring System based on Artificial Intelligence)

All corrosion monitoring systems consist of a probe, an adapter, a transmitter, and software.
